Sunday's, 9:45am, in the Preschool blue room, All Saints will offer a Sunday morning book study on 'The Night is Long but Light Comes in the Morning: Meditations for Racial Healing by Catherine Meeks.' If you are curious about where to start when it comes to conversations around race and racial healing come join us! You can purchase the book on Amazon or at local stores. Please contact Ranie at rneislar@allsaintsbhm.org with questions.

Faith & the Modern Family

Join us Sunday's, September-May, 9:45am in room 223. This community serves as a place of support for one another as we grow in God's grace and learn to follow Christ as partners, parents, and people.

Practicing Our Faith

Join us Sunday's, September-May, 9:45am in the Jackson-Thorpe Room. Practicing Our Faith is a class where participants learn how to live out their spirituality in everyday life. We do this using books, videos and discussion from a variety of faith leaders. This fall we plan to study “Holy Envy“ by Barbara Brown Taylor. Each class participants are invited to lead the group in discussion. For more information connect with Becky Stayner: blstayner@bellsouth.net

Sacred Ground

Join us Sunday afternoons, 2:15pm-5:15pm, in the Jackson-Thorpe room, as we dive into the work of racial healing and reconciliation. This is an opportunity to participate more deeply in reconciliation work in our world. Our curriculum, "Sacred Ground", has been thoughtfully produced by the national Episcopal church. If you are interested please contact Erin Hollifield at Erinph9@gmail.com before Sept. 8.

The Explorers

Join us Sunday's, September-May, 9:45am, room 224. The Explorers class offers the opportunity to meet weekly with others to discuss topics ranging from church history, world religions, spirituality, theology, and more. This group comes from different backgrounds and has different life experiences and has found common ground at All Saints and in the Episcopal Church. This allows for the exchange of diverse, stimulating and sometimes challenging ideas in a welcoming environment. Over the years this class has developed into a close community of individuals learning to appreciate each other's gifts and insights, while utilizing short videos, audio presentations, books or speakers as conversation starters. For more info connect with Eric Jurotich, ejurotich@gmail.com

Cursillo

Cursillo is an opportunity to grow in faith and in spirituality. Cursillo in the Diocese of Alabama begins with a three–day weekend at Camp McDowell. During the three days, lay people and clergy share their experiences and perspective on a variety of topics related to the love of God, the Christian life and Christian community. Through Cursillo we seek a deeper understanding of the teachings of Jesus and how we can serve Him. We work together to share God's love and encourage each other to persevere in carrying out our Baptismal vows. Cursillo starts with a three day weekend, but the best is yet to come! To learn more connect with Jeannie Feldman, jeanniefeldman@att.net.

Education for Ministry (EfM)

Education for Ministry (EfM) is a theological course for lay persons. There are no tests, but there is reading, homework, and weekly group participation meetings with discussion and theological reflection. The program invites participants into small, mentored groups that provide the framework for understanding life and shaping actions as Christian faith is deepened. EfM provides a four-year curriculum that develops a theologically informed, reflective, and articulate laity. No prior study or knowledge of scripture or theology is required. Women at the Well

This women’s group at All Saints made up of almost or early “empty nesters” who feel somewhat “disconnected” since our children flew the nest. We were all very active in different areas of the church where our kids were involved and now find ourselves in a new stage of our “church life”.
