"Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh" - Luke 6:21
The All Saints Outreach ministry is actively participating, in many ways, to provide assistance for those in need, and there are plenty of ways for you to contribute and make a difference as well! Here’s how you can get involved with what we're doing right now:
All Saints Blessing Box
You can SIGN UP HERE any time to assist with managing this ministry. We are currently collecting the following:
Donations can be delivered to the pantry, located near the classrooms on the main floor. Follow the signs! These are for our Blessing Box that is located in front of the playground. It is a tremendous resource for those in need! Please do not put donated items directly into the Blessing Box. Thank you to the 'Women at the Well' group for organizing these collections! For questions, please contact the Rev. Cindy Carter, ccarter@allsaintsbhm.org.
Avondale Breakfast Ministry (ABM)
Always collecting:
All donations can be delivered to the pantry, located near the classrooms on the main floor. Follow the signs! The Avondale Breakfast Ministry is vital work done by four local parishes to provide a breakfast meal in the Avondale neighborhood. Different churches provide this service Monday through Friday at approximately 8:30am. All Saints serves on Wednesday mornings. If you are interested in packing lunches or serving in Avondale on Wednesday mornings, please contact Ron May at
rmay15@bellsouth.net.
Homewood Helps
The goal of
Homewood Helps is to ensure every student in the Homewood City Schools has a bed and access to enough food.
SIGN UP HERE to pack backpack meal bags on Tuesday afternoons and/or to deliver the bags to Homewood schools on Wednesday mornings.
COOK SOUP FOR THOSE IN NEED
Every Thursday from 11:30am-1:00pm, those in need can go by the Church of the Reconciler (COR) and get a hearty, hot meal. What do we need from you? Soup! Please use the recipe below for Santa Fe Soup. Make a double or even triple batch of it and put them into zip lock bags. Please freeze flat and deliver to the freezer at All Saints with a note that it is for COR. This is an awesome opportunity for youth who are looking for service hours, life skills, service to others and hours to turn in.
