Choir School Music Skills Workshop Oct. 27

A series of workshops designed to deepen your understanding and appreciation of music

The next workshop is Sunday, Oct. 27! Join us for a series of workshops designed to deepen your understanding and appreciation of music. These sessions offer a welcoming space to explore the foundations of music reading, history, liturgy, and more. Attendance is open to anyone at any age, is free, but RSVP is required. Please send a brief RSVP email to Maggie Gill, Director of Children's and Youth Music Programs, at mgill@allsaintsbhm.org.



Each day, we will focus on a specific topic, tailored to various levels, ensuring that you engage with material suited to your experience and musical ability.

Level: Beginning to Early Intermediate (White to Light Blue Voice for Life® Books)

Description: Learn the basics of rhythm and conducting, focusing on quarter, half, eighth, and whole notes. We'll explore time signatures like 2/4, 4/4, and 3/4, understand how emphasis works within measures, and how to follow a conductor effectively.

Description: Dive into the basics of reading music with a focus on the Bass Clef and Treble Clef. Discover how the musical alphabet works, how pitches are notated, easy memory aids, and an introduction to half and whole steps.

Easter Memorials Honor your loved ones at Easter with a donation to the Flower or Music funds. Complete the online form and pay online or by check. Contributions are $50. You may pay through Realm or send a check directly to the church office. Please remember to write “Easter Memorial Flowers” or "Easter Music Fund" in the memo section of the check or on Realm so the contribution will be directed to the right fund. The deadline for memorials is Monday, April 14th.
